Drowning in the Mainstream, directed by Michael DeMauro, is a short romantic comedy where Julian, a pretentious hipster, is forced to realize that being a hipster isn't actually "cool" and must discover who he really is.
I worked as the producer for the film, and also the production designer/art director.

Preproduction Schedule
1 Week - Conversations with the director regarding vision, mood, tone, important elements, break down the script, solidify vision for the art department, location scouts/visits, sketches, digital renderings, solidify color scheme, work on production look-book, plan out prop acquisition and where to resource (buy, borrow, build), determine budget.
2 Weeks - Execute design.
Production Schedule
2 Weeks - Principal photography. Clean and prep furniture, set decoration, and properties, haul properties from storage unit and transport to base camp/set location, unload, organize prop table, set up and strike according to shooting schedule. Stay on hand for set changes that may need to take place to accommodate camera or talent. Alter/fix props accordingly. After set, strike and store properties, haul and return properties to storage unit. Prepare for the next day of set to do it all again. Ananda.
Postproduction Schedule
1 Week - Return borrowed properties, sell bought/constructed properties. Deliver all preproduction and production recipes to producer, if not done already.
